Terms of service

The agreement between you and Postforge when you use Postforge cloud.

Last updated

Who you agree with

Postforge cloud is run by sybdev, an independent developer in the Netherlands. By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the brand you set up. Questions: hello@postforge.dev.

Postforge is in development

Postforge has not reached version 1. Features, the API and these terms can change, and the service can be unavailable at times. Using Postforge is free during development. Before we charge for anything, we tell you the price and you decide whether to continue. We never delete your data because of a change without telling you first.

Your account and team

  • Give accurate details and keep your password, two-factor codes and API keys safe
  • You are responsible for what happens in your workspaces, including what your team members, API keys and connected AI clients do
  • Only connect stores and email provider accounts you are allowed to use

Sending email

You send email through your own email provider account, under its terms. You must have permission to email every person you send marketing to, and follow the laws that apply to you, such as the GDPR and anti-spam laws. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and Postforge never emails someone who unsubscribed.

You may not use Postforge to:

  • Send email to bought, rented or scraped lists
  • Send phishing, malware, deceptive or illegal content
  • Get around rate limits, security checks or other workspaces’ separation
  • Resell access to Postforge without our written agreement

Your data

Your data stays yours. We process it to run Postforge for you, as described in the privacy policy, and you can take it out at any time through the API. When you close your account, we delete your workspaces’ data, except unsubscribes, which are kept as hashes so nobody who opted out is emailed again.

AI features

AI can draft automations, segments, templates and campaigns. Those drafts become proposals, and nothing an AI drafts is sent until a person on your team approves it. You are responsible for what you approve and send.

Availability and liability

Postforge is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it is always available or free of errors. To the extent Dutch law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost sales or lost data, and because Postforge is free during development, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Ending

You can stop using Postforge at any time and ask us to delete your account at hello@postforge.dev. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or the safety of others prevents it.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we email account holders about changes that matter. Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you.
